The 88th Legislative Session

During the 88th Legislative Session, the Alamo Colleges District and our family of five colleges, eight education and training centers, and multiple high school programs, advocated on behalf of policies and programs that aim to strengthen the work we do for our learners and community.

Your Alamo Colleges District team worked tirelessly to advocate on behalf of our learners, faculty, and staff to ensure the legislature not only appropriately funds our colleges but also provides us the necessary resources and tools for a strong regional and state economy.

You will find on this page the Final Report on the 88th Legislative Session, summaries of legislation passed including the monumental House Bill 8 which updates how community colleges are funded in Texas, the approved Legislative Agenda for the Alamo Colleges District, a list of the members of legislature who represent the Alamo Colleges District service area, and other helpful tools you can use to monitor what happens during the legislative session.
