San Antonio College and Palo Alto College Celebrate Women's History Month

Both San Antonio College (SAC) and Palo Alto College (PAC) have events planned throughout the month of March to recognize and honor the achievements, contributions and importance of women in our community during Women's History Month. 

San Antonio College

From March 5-27, SAC will host a series of events, beginning with a dance party on March 5. On March 6, the college will host a panel discussion from 6-8 p.m. In the McAllister Fine Arts Auditorium, (see map at https://map.concept3d.com/?id=1159#!m/267090) about feminism in the 21st century. Panelists include Dr. Sobia Khan, SAC dean of academic success; Sofia Sepulveda, healthcare organizer wit the Texas Organizing Project; and San Antonio District 7 Councilwoman Ana Sandoval. Other events will include exhibits, other panel discussions, a film screening and a FemPOWER Body Positivity Fair. Palo Alto College

PAC kicked off the month today with a discussion of Women in Public Service, featuring Councilwoman Sandoval and State Board of Education  Member Marisa B. Perez-Diaz. The college also is featuring a Women’s History Month exhibit on “Images of Valor: U.S. Latinas of World War II, March 4-29 in the Ozuna Library. Other events include art and photo exhibits, a presentation on Women in Media with Suzy Exposito and a luncheon focusing on women’s health issues.
