As part of the $450 million bond package approved by voters in 2017, the Alamo Colleges District is in the planning stages for the Southside Education and Training Center (SETC).

In partnership with the Southside Independent School District (SISD), the SETC will be built on land provided by SISD near Highway 281 S. and FM 2537, just behind Losoya Intermediate School. The goal of the project is to create a facility that will meet accreditation standards to allow students the opportunity to earn both academic and workforce education degrees and certificates, utilizing the instructional resources of Palo Alto College (PAC). The new SETC, like the district’s Westside and Eastside Education and Training Centers, will offer programs from PAC, including workforce training programs, career planning assistance, advising, high school equivalency test preparation, enrollment services and other programs and services to better the lives of residents in the surrounding community.
