Three of the colleges in the Alamo Colleges District have been named to the list of the 2021 Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges in the nation by Diverse: Issues In Higher Education magazine.

promsingplacestowork.pngNortheast Lakeview College (NLC), Northwest Vista College (NVC) and St. Philip’s College (SPC) were named to the list; this is the third year in a row that NLC and NVC have been singled out for this recognition. The list will be published in the May 27, 2021 edition of the magazine.

In choosing institutions for the list, the magazine’s research team focuses on workplace diversity, staffing practices and work environment, using a web-based survey approach to examine categories such as family friendliness, salary/benefits and professional development opportunities, to name a few.

At the Alamo Colleges District, high-quality education and affordable costs provide exceptional value to students and alumni who are major contributors to the economy and culture of our community.
