MISSION
The mission of the Career Services and Job Placement Center is to support the institution's academic programs by designing, implementing, and managing services and programs that meet the career and educational development and employment needs of the students.

Career Services

At Northeast Lakeview College we can help you determine your career goals no matter what stage of life you are in. Career planning is an ongoing process and Career Services offers an array of professional services that will assist students with exploring, developing, and setting goals that relate to each student's unique educational and academic plans. Career Services encourages students to start during their first semester with self-assessment and career exploration to declare a major. Career Services will strategically guide you through your career decision making the process by associating majors to careers.   • On-Campus Student Employment: Apply for Work Study
  • WorkInTexas: A comprehensive online job search resource and matching system developed and maintained by the Texas Workforce Commission. 
  • Indeed: Use this site to post your resume and search for openings by company name, keyword/title, location.
  • Monster.com: Search job postings, network with other college students and recent graduates, and share job-seeker resources.
  • LinkedIn: Search job postings and network with professionals in various industries.
  • Glassdoor: Allows you to search for jobs but also provides information about salaries, interviews, and companies.

    • Online Job Board: Northeast Lakeview College uses an online job board powered by Purple Briefcase to connect our Nighthawk students with employment opportunities. Employers are encouraged to build a profile so students may follow your company’s activities within the site, and a full profile attracts much more attention than an empty one. Don’t forget to upload your company’s logo! Once your connection is approved, you’ll be ready for post-employment/internship opportunities.

  • NLC Campus Map
    • Check-in: Please check-in at the Welcome Center, located in the Student Commons (building STCM 300). The Welcome Center is located in the centralized foyer of the Student Commons, directly facing the library building.
    • Parking: Open parking in any non-reserved, non-employee, parking lot.
      • Lot 1 & 2: Provide additional parking, accessible to Student Commons.
      • Lot 3: The closest parking to Student Commons, but fills up quickly.
      • Lot 4: Further removed, but offers ample parking. Enjoy the walk of our natural surroundings!
      • Lot 5: The closest to the Library, and a quick walk to the Student Commons, but fills up quickly.
