Nursing at NLC

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) – Generic Program at Northeast Lakeview Campus 
(offered through San Antonio College)

The San Antonio College Department of Nursing Education has extended its service to the Northeast Lakeview College (NLC) campus and will offer classes towards the Generic Program. Admission for the Northeast Lakeview College Generic cohort will open in early June, and applications are accepted through August. Those selected for the NLC Generic Program cohort will start in the Spring term of 2024. 

Admission criteria for the Northeast Lakeview Campus Generic cohort will be the same as the Generic Program offered at San Antonio College. Nursing courses for the NLC cohort will be at the Northeast Lakeview Campus and clinical sites utilize surrounding healthcare facilities to meet course objectives and learning outcomes. 

For individuals interested in applying to the NLC Generic Nursing program, please go to the San Antonio College Nursing > Admissions website and follow the steps of the application process. When filling out the application to the Nursing program, selection of Program please select the Northeast Lakeview Campus options.

Pre-Nursing

Biology: Pre-Nursing supports the mission of the college in meeting the educational goals of students who are enrolled in college parallel, pre-professional, or technical/allied health programs. The Pre-Nursing course of study is cognizant of the needs of transfer students.  Students can start at NLC and transfer to another institution to fulfill nursing requirements or complete their associate of science degree at NLC.
