Tutoring supports faculty with solutions tailored to the specific class. Some forms of tutoring assistance include:

Tutor Visits - a great way to demystify tutoring for new or apprehensive students. We’ll pop in at your convenience to discuss what tutoring is, how it can help, and why students should take advantage of it.

Refer a student- Students are much more likely to take advantage of tutoring services when their instructors recommend it. We’re happy to sign off on a tutoring receipt or run a report for you.

Class workshops - We can provide supplemental presentations to your class on both study skills – Note-Taking, How to Read Textbooks, How to Study – and writing cross-curriculum – How to Proofread, How to Research, both APA and MLA citations.

Embedded Tutors – Adding a designated tutor to your course by posting their hours in Canvas or your syllabus is a highly visible encouragement to students to reach out for help. Tutors can also facilitate in class as well provide one-on-one tutoring, and they can set dedicated tutoring hours for the students in your class.

Supplemental Instruction (SI) – For high-challenge courses, regularly scheduled, supplemental review sessions are a proven method for reaching students who are sometimes reluctant to attend tutoring.
