All students that are looking at Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, and/or Business as a career. That being said, I will not turn any student away that seeks my many years experience and guidance.
Retired Air Force enlisted member, I developed many of the information technology programs offered at NVC to include the Network Administrator, Information Assurance and Security, Computer Programmer, and Computer Support programs; and was an instructor, and now an Administrator (Dean).
Advisor for the SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society
I am a retired Air Force Veteran (Enlisted) and have been in education some 20+ years. Over the years I have attended many schools and received a B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems, my Graduate degree in Computer Resource Management, and an A.A.S. in Human Resource Management from the Community College of the Air Force. My experience allows me to have answers to most questions and if not, I know where to find them. Originally from South Louisiana, I have made my home here in San Antonio and consider it my second home…although my heart remains in the bayous. I was one of 16 children in my family and know what it is like to struggle to make ends meet. In my early years I picked cotton, worked construction, dug water wells, was in the military, and opened the first Tech Support Department for CompUSA…if you remember those folks. That being said, I know what it is to commit yourself to a goal and work hard to achieve that goal. I can empathize with all of you trying to make school and a family life work. Don't let that "Dean" title fool you…been where you are and know how to succeed. I consider myself the "Blue Collar Dean" at NVC.
