(Northwest Vista College Scholarships and Program Funds, Code 440007)

The Anthony Chalkley Endowed Scholarship was established in memory of a former NVC faculty and staff member. The scholarship supports students making satisfactory academic progress who are enrolled in developmental math classes.

Donations from NVC faculty and staff enabled the scholarship to reach endowment level this fall and NVC student Janette Martinez became the first recipient of the scholarship.

The unity shown by college employees in contributing to this scholarship exemplifies the college commitment to support students, especially those in mathematics’ completion programs such as, Project Math Paths, NVC’s $2.4 million Title V grant from the U.S. Department of Education for Hispanic Serving Institutions.

When you support the NVC giving campaigns you are creating opportunities for success and having an impact on the lives of students as well as individuals and families in our community through contributions to United Way agencies and TheFund.
