What is remote learning?

Remote learning occurs when the learner and instructor cannot meet in a traditional classroom setting. Although it takes place online, remote learning is different from online learning. Remote learning strives to re-create the classroom environment as the student learns through the computer. This means the student logs in to the virtual classroom environment at scheduled times to view lectures or participate in group learning activities.

For Fall 2021, up to 75% of instruction will be face-to-face (F2F). Students will be notified of the instructional method for the course at the time of registration.

For more information about how to register and identify instructional method, watch our Registration Tutorial or view page 10 of the Alamo College's District Return to Learning Student & Family Guide.
