La Fiesta del Sol

Last spring, NASA recognized the Scobee Education Center as a Community Anchor Program through the CAAT TEAM II grant process.  The focus of this award is the preparation of our community informal and formal educators for the solar eclipse events that will occur on October 14, 2023 and April 8, 2024.  The Scobee team is planning for professional development programs with teachers, area Boy and Girl Scout leaders, and members of the Alamo STEM Ecosystem.  The “Celebration of the Sun” in the Bear County Region will be an event that all will want to experience, not once but twice!
