Risk Management
The College Risk Management Department serves as the organizational expert in risk identification and remediation, emergency drills, injury reports, safety assessments, and as a key resource for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Drills
In an effort to ensure San Antonio College is prepared for emergency situations, the Risk Management Department develops and implements various drills to raise awareness and test responsiveness during mock emergency situations. Each Building Action Team is responsible for scheduling drills (fire, severe weather, lockdown) for his or her building.
Injury Reports
The first priority and obligation of the District Emergency Management Program, within the limits of its resources, is the safety and health of students, employees and guests. After an injury has been reported to the Alamo Colleges Police Department and the District Enterprise Risk Management Team, the SAC Risk Management Department may conduct an incident investigation to determine the root-cause of any injury or exposure event and provide corrective actions to avoid similar future incidents.
Safety Assessment
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) program will provide comprehensive guidelines for the Alamo Colleges. The primary objective of the EHS program is to promote safety and effective loss prevention practices. Contact the SAC Risk Management Department if you need to have your area assessment for health and/or safety hazards.
