Biology: Pre-Nursing
What is the Biology: Pre-Nursing program?
The Department of Natural Sciences supports the mission of the college in meeting the educational goals of students who are preparing for entry into a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
What will I learn? The Pre-Nursing program is designed for students who intend to apply for admission to BSN program at the end of their second year by offering general education courses required by the institution in conjunction with pre-requisite courses that prepare students for upper-division nursing curriculum. What can I do with this course of study?Achievement of an AS in Biology Pre-Nursing will pave the way for acceptance into a BSN program. |
What's special about this program? The department recognizes that the interaction between faculty and students is one of the most significant ingredients for student success. Therefore, access to the faculty is provided through small classes, regular posted office hours, and pairing of students with faculty advisors. The BioSpot tutoring and learning center is also available with faculty and student tutors and learning materials to promote student success.
