The Emergency Management/Homeland Security Administration Degree is designed to prepare the student for a career in disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.

The Emergency Management and Homeland Security Administration Degree was the first degree of its kind in the state of Texas. It focuses on an all-hazards approach to disasters. Emergency Management and Homeland Security is one of the fastest growing career fields.

The student will receive course study in risk management and prioritization, multi-agency coordination, disaster planning, terrorist threat analysis, and terrorist ability and willingness to acquire and use weapons of mass destruction.

Tuition Exemption
Submission of Tuition Exemption - Summer 2024 - Start: February 1, 2024 - Deadline: April 25, 2024
Submit the following for tuition exemption to sac-firescience@alamo.edu
- Employment verification letter signed and on departmental letterhead.
- Not older than two weeks.
- Tuition Exemption Form completed

- Attach a color copy of...

- TCFP FIDO Account Number
- Proof of Enrollment
- Class Schedule
- Degree plan with the enrolled courses highlighted.
- Submit all documentation as one file (preferably a PDF document) to sac-firescience@alamo.edu
- EMAIL Subject line should read: "Tuition Exemption Fall, Spring or Summer with Year" so that we can process immediately.
NOTE: Tuition Exemption Forms must be completed every semester. All tuition exemptions will be processed and forwarded to Business Office.
SAC enrollment process allows steps to be completed remotely by students. Please follow the 1,2,3 Steps.
