What we do:
Career Services offers assistance with exploring careers, researching career paths, seeking internships, creating a resume, and/or job searching. Career Services also collaborates with local employers by providing access to our job bank to post positions. We can assist students with
- Exploring skills and interests
- Developing a career plan
- Career fairs and recruiting event opportunties
- Developing a resume, cover letter and/or interview techniques
Make sure to set up an appointment with your academic advisor to complete the steps needed for graduation. Students can earn their associates degree before transferring out for a bachelor's degree or entering into the workforce.
It is important to graduate so that you can learn skills while earning a degree/creditential. As result of earning a degree, you are going to increase your markeabilty and make your application more competitive when applying to positions.
Graduation is the process of completing your requirements and getting your degree. Students will receive their diploma in the mail whether they participate in the commencement ceremony or not.
Commencement refers to the ceremony celebration where you walk the stage. Diplomas are not handed out at the commencement ceremony; they are mailed out.
