MESA
The MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, and Science Achievement) Center is a study/resource center for students majoring in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). MESA is a national program that began in California in the 1970s to encourage underrepresented minorities pursue STEM. This program plays an integral role in supporting and encouraging students to pursue STEM careers. In 2007, a MESA Center was established at San Antonio College becoming the first in the state of Texas. Students are encouraged to join the MESA Center by filling out a new member application on AlamoExperience. The MESA Center offers a variety of services and resources that include: tutoring, peer mentoring, experiential learning, paid undergraduate research, scholarship assistance and professional development.
