SPC Breaks Ground on New Health & Wellness Building

St. Philips College broke ground Monday, March 23, on a health and wellness building located on the MLK Campus. The 56,556-square-foot facility will replace the existing college fitness center built in 1949.
The new two-story recreation gymnasium and natatorium facility will include a gym with elevated track, a short course swimming pool, a therapy pool, several exercises, weight and cardio training spaces, an aerobic studio, a cardio studio, teaching labs for kinesiology, first aid/CPR and massage therapy, gathering spaces and staff offices.
