What is the Nurse Aide program?

Always working under the direction of a nurse (RN or LPN/LVN) the nurse aide provides hands-on nursing care to patients, residents, clients, and customers in a variety of healthcare settings. Nurse aides typically provide assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and oral care to people who cannot do these tasks alone.

What will I learn?

This program will include residents’ rights, communication, safety, observation, reporting, and assisting residents in maintaining basic comfort and safety, with clinical experience of instruction providing detailed educational training and work-based skilled experience in direct patient care at a clinical site.
