Advanced Manufacturing Technology TXFAME
What is the Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) program?
Students in the AMT program are sponsored and selected by TX FAME companies. The AMT program is designed to prepare students within the TX FAME companies for a career in advanced manufacturing in robotics, PLC, electromechanical drives fluid power and fabrication.
What will I learn?Training programs are available for both incumbent employees who are seeking to sharpen existing skills or for individuals entering the field in search of a rewarding and long-lasting occupation. What can I do with this course of study?Pursue a rewarding occupation as a Process Control Technician. |
What's special about the program?The AMT program is a collaboration between SPC, local industry and instruction is provided at the Southwest Campus. Current TX FAME companies include Toyota, HEB, CPS Energy, Caterpillar, Joyson Safety Systems, Metalsa, C.H. Gunther & Son, Kautex and Toyotetsu. |
