An excerpt from the Catalogue of St. Philip’s Grammar and Industrial School, Year 1903-1904, p.12:
Almighty God, the fountain of all wisdom, who hast taught us in Thy Holy Word, that to know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent, is everlasting life; we humbly beseech Thee to receive our prayers and supplications, which we now offer unto Thee for this school. Grant that they who govern and teach in it may perceive and know what things they ought to do, and to those who are taught and trained here give Thy gracious help, that they may be fitted for the stations in life to which they may be called; and above all things endowed with heavenly wisdom. Grant this, O Heavenly Father, for the sake of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
