College is important for many reasons, including long-term financial gain, job stability, career satisfaction and success outside of the workplace. With more and more occupations requiring advanced education, an associate degree or continuing education certificate is critical to your child’s success in today's workforce. AlamoPROMISE can help.
It’s available to graduating high school seniors from 25 participating high schools in Bexar County regardless of family income or class rank. If your student is eligible, AlamoPROMISE covers the gap between your child’s financial aid and the cost of tuition and mandatory fees at one of the Alamo Colleges.

As last-dollar funding, AlamoPROMISE covers the gap between financial aid and the cost of tuition at one of the Alamo Colleges for up to three years. 100% of your student’s tuition and mandatory fees will be covered.
This program also covers enhanced college navigation and career pathway support.
Students are required to submit their financial aid applications by March 15, 2021. It is important to complete any additional documents that may be required to process a financial aid award as soon as possible.
Your household income does not disqualify you and there is no minimum academic requirement for admission.
Because we understand plans sometimes change, students are not locked into a commitment when pledging to Save Your Seat.
To be eligible to for AlamoPROMISE, 2021 high school graduates from a participating high school must complete three eligibility steps by their deadlines.

Even with the help of AlamoPROMISE, there are other costs with attending college.
These include books, transportation, rent, and food. If the student receives federal or state financial aid or additional scholarships, these dollars can be used toward the other costs.
