Student Brittney Carson shines brightly at St. Philip’s College. On campus, you can find her dressed in a gown and shaking hands, spiking a ball to make a game win, or even checking the mail. During her time at SPC, Brittney has taken full advantage of all the college has to offer.

“My interest in campus activities started during my second semester attending St. Philip’s College. I have actively participated and provided leadership to several organizations on campus,” says Brittney.

She is a member of the 100 Black Men’s Collegiate 100, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Psi Kappa Chapter, Future United Latino Leaders for Change (FULLC), Tiger Cheer Squad, SPC Volleyball, and the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), she was selected as a White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities Names 2022 HBCU Scholar, representing SPC with a national platform, and was voted Miss St. Philip’s College. In addition to being a student leader, she is a work-study in the Office of the Vice President of Student Success.

Brittney will represent the Class of 2023 as a member of the stage party on Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Freeman Coliseum, where she will receive her Associate of Liberal Arts. Her educational pursuits will continue as she seeks her Bachelor's Degree in Business at a nearby Texas HBCU.
