Smart Choice is focused on assisting you in creating a plan for your goals. The benefits of attending a Smart Choice are to reflect the real work and skill requirements of the industry and save you time and costs. In the 1-day session, we will discuss your goals which include your career/family, homeownership, college, and/or professional objectives. What are some challenges that you could face in reaching your goals? So, before you leave Smart Choice, you walked in with an idea, and we want you to leave with a plan. |

Yes. Any student interested in any Alamo Adult Education training must participate in Smart Choice
Yes, participants must be registered for Smart Choice. You can request more information at
Smart Choice is 1- day Tuesdays(assessment) times are 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (In-person or via Zoom) or Thursdays times are 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
All students are required to complete the entire training to be registered for a class unless prior arrangements are made.
- Identification (ID Card or Driver’s License)
- Social Security Card
- High school diploma or official transcript.
Eligibility
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be able to work in the US (Social Security Card/Resident Card, etc)
- Must have identification/driver’s license/passport.
- Some programs may require household income and must be below 250% of the FPL (we will have other programs if you do not qualify)
- Child care is not provided.
- We ask that you please make childcare arrangements prior to Smart Choice, as children are not allowed to attend.
