Celebrating Black History Month at the Alamo Colleges District

The Alamo Colleges District is proud to celebrate Black History Month – a month dedicated to commemorating Black history, culture, and heritage. 

All five of our colleges are Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSI) and St. Philip’s College is the nation’s only HSI and Historically Black College and University (HBCU). 

Across our five colleges, we affirm and work to create a sense of belonging for all members of the Alamo family. We honor Black history makers from the Alamo Colleges District and help prepare Black history makers in the making. Together, we are empowering our diverse communities for success.
