JBSA Installation Courses

Online, Zoom & Campus Courses 

   

Courses on JBSA installations follow a strict priority registration order established by the Department of Defense.

Group 1  Active Service Members
Group 2  Federally Funded DoD Civ. Employee
Group 3  DoD Civ. Employees & Active Service Dependents
Group 4  Military Retirees
Group 5  All Others (Includes Veterans)

Can non-military/veteran students get into courses on military installations?
All students may request consideration for enrollment. Depending on the time remaining in the registration period and space remaining in the desired course, students in groups 2-5 may be considered, in group priority order, in the order received, at the discretion of the college.  Enrollment requests will be held for consideration until the start of the semester, even if not processed at the time of the request.  Requesting registration does not guarantee enrollment.

RELEASE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION: 
Required upon enrollment into JBSA courses.  College staff will supply visitor information to the Education Office and Security Forces two weeks prior to the term start for access authorization.

JBSA VISITOR PASSES FOR ENROLLED STUDENTS: 
Visitor pass information for NON-DoD ID holders must be submitted 15 days prior to term start.  Only registered students in JBSA courses will be sponsored (no chaperones/drivers).  Contact the college Disability Services Department if you require special accommodations.  This is a three-step process:
  1. Request Enrollment (link below- includes the release form)
  2. When enrolled, staff will email you visitor instructions
  3. On the first night of class, stop at the Visitor Center and request a pass

FIRST NIGHT OF CLASS/VISITOR CENTER INFORMATION:
To obtain a visitor pass, on the first night of class you must present:

  1. Valid state or Federal ID
  2. Valid vehicle registration (if driving)
  3. Current vehicle insurance (if driving)
  4. Sponsor or other information provided by the Site Coordinator

Background checks are conducted as you wait.  Those found with outstanding warrants will be detained and turned over to local authorities.  If you have any questions about visitor passes, contact the Site Coordinator for more information.


REQUEST ENROLLMENT (JBSA Courses)

The college provides priority registration for active military, veterans and dependents into reserved sections Online, through Zoom and on campus. 

Can non-military/veteran students get into Online, Zoom and campus courses reserved for military and veterans?
All students may request consideration for enrollment.  Depending on the time remaining in the enrollment period and remaining space in the course, non-military/veteran students may be enrolled at the discretion of the college.

Enrollment into reserved sections is at the discretion of the college and may be denied to non-military/veteran students.  A request for enrollment may need to be submitted outside of ACES (below link) for these courses.  Enrollment requests will be held for consideration until the start of the semester, even if not processed at the time of the request.  Requesting registration does not guarantee enrollment.
