Texas Impact: Stolen Lives/Vidas Robadas T-Shirt Making
September 23rd and 24th 9:00-1:00 (LOH 229)
The NVC Community can help create t-shirts that will honor victims of gun violence here in Texas. The t-shirts will later be displayed in Austin for our lawmakers to be reminded of the epidemic of gun violence.
Dawnland Screening
September 24th at 11:00-12:30 (MZH 203)
Dawnland is a documentary about indigenous people in Maine that are working towards restorative justice for victims of the Maine foster care system.

Peace Festival
Wednesday, September 25th at 9:30-1:00 PM - LOH Breezeway and Outdoor classroom
Our 3rd annual Peace Festival will include over 10 interactive tables from community and college groups committed to peace. Join us for music, food and fun. The NVC choir will perform at 12:30.
Honoring Miguel Castro
Wednesday, September 25th – 3:30-4:30 at LOH 229
We will honor NVC alumni Miguel Castro. Former Wildcat, Miguel Castro changed the NVC campus while serving as NVC student body president. Learn how NVC will honor his contributions and help inspire future students to become advocates of change. A reception will follow with light snacks and drinks.
The Danger Imperative

Dr. Michael Sierra-Arévalo author of The Danger Imperative will present his research on US policing culture. Can the culture of the danger imperative be reformed?
