Free Childcare at Vista

In an innovative new project, Northwest Vista College will launch free childcare for kids ages 5-13 in the evenings and weekends this fall semester.

NVC is trying to break down the tough choices and barriers that keep students from attending college, such as paying for childcare. Students don’t have to be at a particular income level to sign up for childcare.

Children will receive free meals and tutoring while their parents are in their class(es). This opportunity is possible through a partnership with the YMCA of Greater San Antonio, which will provide care on the NVC campus.
