UPDATE ON TRUSTEE ELECTIONS – MAY 7, 2022

On January 25, 2022, the ACCD Board of Trustees called an election of trustees for single-member Districts One (1), Two (2), and Three (3) and accepted Applications for a Place on the Ballot until February 18, 2022 at 5 p.m.

Joe Alderete Jr., Trustee for District One (1), and Anna Uriegas Bustamante, Trustee for District Three (3), were the only candidates for their respective Districts. As required by the Texas Election Code, as unopposed candidates, Mr. Alderete and Ms. Bustamante were declared the winners for their respective districts, and their scheduled elections were cancelled by Order of March 22, 2022. They will finish their current six-year terms and will be eligible to be sworn in for a new six-year term after the votes in the May 7, 2022 election are canvassed.

The College District will conduct only one Trustee election on Saturday, May 7, 2022 which will be for single-member District Two (2). The candidates for this office are current Trustee Gloria Ray and Jakub Kosiba. The Trustee Election will be conducted jointly with other governmental entities. EARLY VOTING for the May 7, 2022 election will take place as follows:

Monday, April 26 through Friday, April 29, 2022 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday, April 30, 2022 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday, May 1, 2022 noon to 6 p.m.
Monday, May 2 through Tuesday, May 3, 2022 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Northwest Vista College (Pecan Hall) and Palo Alto College (Performing Arts Center) will serve as Early Voting Polling Places. The Early Voting Polling Places, in addition to NVC and PAC, are listed in the Early Voting Calendar on this webpage.

ELECTION DAY VOTING will take place on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. San Antonio College (Victory Center), Northwest Vista College (Pecan Hall), and Palo Alto College (Performing Arts Center) will serve as Election Day voting sites. The Election Day polling places, in addition to SAC, NVC, and PAC, are listed on the Bexar County Elections Administration website. The Bexar County Main Polling Place is located at 1103 S. Frio.
