Current Students
We are pleased to invite you to online learning at Northeast Lakeview College. The majority of online courses we offer are delivered through the Instructure Canvas learning management system (LMS). To learn more about Canvas, access the Canvas Quick Guide for Students.
Accessing Your Online Course
You will log in to your course through the ACES portal and select the current term and course under the "My Courses" tab. Course content should be available by the first day of classes.
Canvas Course Checklist for Students
- Download Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox to use as your web browser for Canvas (recommended)
- Access your course in ACES > "My Courses" tab
- Log in by the third day of classes and complete any required activities to avoid being dropped for non-attendance the first week
Set Up Your Notification Preferences
Canvas can reach out to you in a variety of ways about updates to your online course. In Canvas, you can choose how (and how often) you want to be notified of updates in your course. These updates can be a new message from your instructor or classmates, an announcement, a posted grade or feedback, changes to the course content, and much, much more. To learn more about setting up your notification preferences in Canvas, view this Canvas Guide.
