LIBRARY ANNOUNCEMENT - ONLINE LEARNING AND RESOURCES

The Library is physically open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for the remainder of the summer. Some services have limited hours and are noted below.

  • Library Open for Quiet Study - The Library is open for quiet study use, physical materials check-out, and in-person reference assistance. Please come into the Library through our main doors that face the Academic and CATE buildings after obtaining your wristband from the wellness checkpoint located inside the Cyber Cafe.
  • Curbside Pickup - Our curbside pickup of Library materials is available by appointment Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Check-out our post on how to place a hold on a Library item and schedule a curbside pickup.
  • Book Drop - The book drop will remain open for the summer. The book drop is located in the flag circle near the library building. It is the big silver box across from the flags.
  • Computer Labs - The computers and printers in the Library on both the 1st and 2nd floors are closed for the summer. If you need to use a computer or to print, NLIB 124 and ACA1 101 are open as computer labs for the summer. 
  • Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service - This service is back to full operations. If there is a book, video, or article that is not available at the Library, you can submit a request to have it sent to the Library for pick-up. You can request a curbside or walk-in & pick-up of materials when submitting the request. For questions on this service, please contact the Circulation staff at 210-486-5387.
  • Virtual Reference Desk - VRD will be manned from Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We will be closed on Saturday and Sunday. During open hours, you can contact us via chat, email, or phone: (210) 486-5388. To chat with us, click on the green chat button in the Contact Information box located on the left side of the Library's website or on our LibGuides. Do you have a question while we are closed? Email it to nlc-reference@alamo.edu. We will respond by the next business day.
