About Dr. Shanna Pahl-Lesch
Professor Pahl-Lesch was a first-generation, non-traditional student who received her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D degrees in physics from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She has been teaching physics for 14 years, starting with lab courses during graduate school, then lecturing in both physics and atmospheric dynamics and instrumentation at the University of the Incarnate Word before coming to NLC. For the last 3 years, Professor Pahl-Lesch has been a faculty advisor for meteorology students, and for the last 7 years coordinated a summer research and mentoring program that provides research experience to high school students in the San Antonio area. Her free time is a whirlwind of her daughter's imagination, live music, the open road, theoretical physics, and still working on that theory of everything.
