About Keegan Gold

Professor Gold first gained her passion for education when she taught in her senior year of her bachelor’s degree.  She knew immediately that teaching was the career she would embark on.  Since that time, she went on to pursue her master’s degree, teach at several colleges and universities, win teaching awards, and co-author an introductory chemistry textbook currently in use in the University of Texas system.  She has a passion for student success and has developed many mentoring relationships with students who have gone on to pursue careers in medicine, law, environmental studies, art, engineering, and more.  In her free time, she enjoys running with her dogs, trying to keep up with her two children, and playing the drums.
