Megan Grimsley
About Megan Grimsley
Megan Grimsley is an Associate Professor in both the kinesiology and biology departments. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Education, specializing in Exercise Science, and minoring in Nutrition from Baylor University. She earned her Master of Art in Education, specializing in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Physical Activity, Nutrition, and Wellness, an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Exercise Science and Nutrition, from Arizona State University. She is also a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. Most recently she earned a Graduate Certificate in Dietetics and Integrative Medicine from The University of Kansas Medical School.
She has been teaching a variety of classes at Northeast Lakeview College since 2010, including KINE 1136 Yoga, BIOL 1322 Nutrition and Diet Therapy, and BIOL 1323, Consumer Nutrition. When not at work, Dr. Grimsley enjoys lifting weights, practicing yoga, and spending time with her husband and two dogs, Luna (blue heeler mix) and Luke (Catahoula leopard mix).
