About Delissa Perez

My name is Delissa Perez and I am a speech instructor at Northeast Lakeview College. I graduated in 2008 from Texas State University with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Mass Communication. I fell in love with the Communication program at Texas State and decided to pursue a graduate degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Interpersonal and Instructional Communication. I first started teaching as a graduate instructional assistant at Texas State University and remained in that position until I completed my Master's degree. In 2011, I started working for the Alamo Colleges as an adjunct Speech instructor. I have taught at Northwest Vista College and I am currently teaching at Northeast Lakeview College. I have taught introduction to a speech, interpersonal communication, public speaking and business, and professional communication. I have a passion for teaching and I want to share my passion with others. On a more personal note, I love animals. I have a dog and two cats (If I could, I would have more!) I enjoy working out, drinking coffee, playing board/card games, finding a good Netflix show/series to watch, and spending time with my husband!
