NLC congratulates Mr. Butler on his scholarship

Donovan Butler receives a new member scholarship from the National Society of Leadership & Success (NSLS)

The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) recently announced its Fall 2022 Scholarship Recipients. Northeast Lakeview College is pleased to announce that student, Donovan Butler, received the New Member Scholarship.

The new member scholarship honors excellent students who are in their first semester as NSLS members. The NSLS Foundation recognizes that many of these members will make an impact on their chapters, communities, and their own lives almost immediately.

Donovan Butler is currently studying Liberal Arts at NLC.  An Army Master Sergeant (Ret.), his future plans are to lead by example to my family, my peers, and the Veteran/Military-affiliated population.

“The positive environment and sense of community at NLC has provided me with a safe, pleasant, and productive environment to set achievable goals and complete those goals, “Butler says. “NLC is a family-affair,” he added.  “My middle son completed Judson Early College Academy (JECA) in 2018, and my youngest son started his college journey at NLC in the fall of 2021.”

Currently, Butler attends NLC with his wife, and they are both thriving as non-traditional students.
