Bio:
My name is Leticia Guerrero and I teach human anatomy and physiology at Northwest Vista College. I'm the founder and one of the advisor’s to the Society of Aspiring Nurses club. How did I get here? This seems to be the most common question that I get from students. I grew up in McAllen, Texas and moved to San Antonio for college. After completing my undergraduate degree at OLLU, I decided that I wanted to devote my career to research, especially Neuropsychopharmacology. I enrolled in a MS program at UTSA full-time, and I started teaching courses at NVC part-time, while attempting to finish my thesis at UTSA. After UTSA, I enrolled at OLLU's leadership studies doctoral program, and earned by Ph.D. I enjoy interactions with students, and I’m happy to be part of their journey.
