What to Expect During a Zoom Tutoring Session

  • Please have the Canvas assignment directions/prompt and your essay draft ready to screen share.
  • Once you log in, you will be invited to a break-out room with your tutor.
  • After introductions, you and your tutor will have a conversation about your main writing concerns and identify a goal for your session.
  • The tutor will ask questions and provide guidance as you make decisions about your writing. We encourage students to ask for clarification throughout the session.
  • After your session, your tutor will record details in AlamoNAVIGATE and request that you complete the post-session student satisfaction survey.
  • Students can request verification of their visit, if required by the instructor.
