Northwest Vista College (NVC) has received a 2022 Gold Paragon Award from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) at the council’s national conference, which ran March 30 to April 1 in Orlando, Florida.

The Gold Paragon award for NVC’s Microsite/landing page celebrates the college’s marketing team for its work on “Dream Big; You Belong at Vista” campaign. The judges’ comments focused on the site’s navigation and visuals:

“Wow! Great Visuals. Easy Navigation. Key data points shared in a clear way. Very well thought out and executed.”

The 2022 Paragon Awards competition drew 1,726 entries from 323 colleges across the country and was judged by more than 40 professionals from the marketing and public relations industry. NVC’s Marketing & Strategic Communications Team received one of the 47 Gold awards.

Northwest Vista College is one of five colleges within the Alamo Colleges District. The District Marketing & Strategic Communications Team received a Silver Paragon Award in the category of crisis communications/communication success story. Palo Alto College received a Silver Paragon Award in the social media category.

“All award levels in the NCMPR Paragon Awards are highly competitive and influential in shaping the community college marketing and communication landscape, said Renata Serafin, director of Marketing & Strategic Communication at Northwest Vista College.

“I love to celebrate the outstanding work of our community college marketers,” says Jeff Ebbing, NCMPR’s 2022-23 president. “The creativity and hard work that went into the winning entries is on par with some of the best agencies in the country and is a testament to the talent and dedication of our members. These people are pros in every sense of the word.”

NCMPR’s Paragon Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges. It's the only national competition of its kind that honors excellence exclusively among marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges.

NCMPR supports the professional development of community college communicators, serving nearly 1,650 members from 550 colleges across the United States and Canada. It’s the only organization of its kind that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges and is one of the largest affiliates of the American Association of Community Colleges. NCMPR is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
