District 8 - Clint Kingsbery
Clint Kingsbery brings over 18 years of experience in education to his current role as the Assistant Director of Testing and TSI at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. In this capacity, he oversees the Testing Center and ensures TSI compliance, playing a crucial role in supporting student success and academic achievement. This followed a successful 13 years of teaching Mathematics in Northside ISD, at O’Connor and Brennen High Schools, and Rudder Middle School.
Clint holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Higher Education and Policy Studies, both from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). He is currently completing his PhD in Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies at UTSA, with a research focus on retention in higher education, reflecting his commitment to improving student outcomes and institutional effectiveness.
In addition to his work at the university, Clint is deeply involved in community service. He serves as the Vice President of Governance for the SOLI Chamber, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering artistic expression and cultural enrichment. He also contributes his expertise as a board member for Each One Teach One, a non-profit focused on improving literacy and education in underserved communities.
Clint's leadership extends to the national level, where he serves as the Chair of the Nominations Committee for the Western Region of the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT). He is also a member of the Education and Resources Committee for the Community College Association of Texas Trustees (CCATT), where he helps shape policies and resources that benefit community colleges across the state.
Within Texas A&M University-San Antonio, Clint is an active participant in the Executive Staff Council and was recently accepted into the university's prestigious Leadership Institute, further honing his leadership skills and expanding his influence in higher education.
On a personal note, Clint is active in his community and enjoys writing music, reading, and volunteering with his family. He is proud of his son, who is currently pursuing interests in Aerospace Engineering and Cybersecurity. Clint is married to Jessica Salinas Kingsbery, his college sweetheart and lifelong partner since 2007.
