Dean for Academic Success

Dr. Jennifer Rigsby

As Dean for Academic Success, Dr. Jennifer Rigsby oversees the instructional divisions of Science and Kinesiology, Social Sciences; and supports areas of The Tutoring Academic Support Center, Library Services, and the Distance Learning and Innovation Center. 

Prior to arriving at Northeast Lakeview College, Dr. Rigsby served for 12 years at Austin Community College (ACC) in various roles to include Diagnostic Medical Imaging -  Radiology full-time faculty; Assistant Department Chair, and Department Chair within the DMI - Radiology program. She also served as the Assistant Dean of Distance Education and External Partnerships for the Health Sciences division.

Dr. Rigsby actively served in the U.S. Army, is a healthcare professional nationally certified as a Radiologic Technologists with advanced certification in Computed Tomography through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and holds state licensing as a General Medical Radiologic Technologist with the Texas Medical Board (TMB). She has previously served as an Area Counselor for the Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists (TXSRT) and previously served as an accreditation site visitor for the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). 

Dr. Rigsby holds an associate degree in Medical Radiologic Technology from Copiah-Lincoln Community College, a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Radiology Sciences from AdventHealth University, a Master’s degree in Health Administration/Education and a Doctorate in Health Administration both from The University of Phoenix.
