Transfer of Credits

Northeast Lakeview College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate degrees.
Prior to receiving accreditation in December 2017, the following colleges and universities agreed to accept NLC transfer credit. For additional information regarding transfer information, contact Julie Kirkland-Poirier, Dean of Student Success.

Transfer of Credits (credit earned prior to Fall 2017)

The SACSCOC Position Statement on the Transfer of Academic Credit clearly states that the acceptance of credits from an unaccredited institution is allowed (and not a SACSCOC requirement), and under the purview of the receiving institution. NLC and San Antonio College (SAC) at NLC continue to offer a full array of courses to students in the greater northeast area of the Alamo service area. The section below lists those higher education institutions that have agreed, in writing, to accept NLC credits. New institutions are added as NLC students expand their transfer locations. Additionally, NLC students completing the Alamo Community College District’s Core Curriculum (approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board in 2009) are guaranteed their credits will transfer. The transfer of NLC credits to all other institutions is handled on a case-by-case basis.
