College and Career Fair
Candlewood Elementary School
Candlewood Elementary School held its annual College and Career Fair on January 31, 2020. Candlewood’s vision is to prepare their students to be college and career ready. In order to achieve this vision, volunteers such as parents, community members, and public figures, came together to educate students about the importance of furthering their education and the vast career opportunities that are open to them.
In an effort to support the Adopt-a-School initiative, volunteers from the Certified Advising Team, Michael Glade and Estephani Rodriguez presented to 100 5th grade students. The presentation included information relevant to school subjects associated with the students' desired career paths, education, training, and personal skills.
