Articulation Agreements
An Articulation Agreement is an officially approved agreement between two institutions; with the ultimate goal of providing a seamless transfer between the Alamo Colleges District and the partnering University while minimizing duplication of coursework. Transfer Advising Guides - Created by Alamo Colleges
Transfer Advising Guides were created by Alamo Colleges to guide students on the courses they can take before they transfer. Please see the Advising Guides by University specific to your program to gain insight on course recommendations, program requirements and guidance on when we recommend you transfer. More advising guides are being built each semester, please refer to the Transfer Degree Plan from the Transfer Institution below if you do not find your specific program listed in the Advising Guides.

Texas Common Course Numbering System
When students transfer between two participating Texas Common Course Numbering System institutions, a course taken at the sending institution transfers as the course carrying the same TCCNS designation at the receiving institution. For instance ENGL 1301 at San Antonio College, may be listed differently at a university where they list it as WRC 1013. Compare institutions course numbers using the Common Course Matrix.

For Texas colleges and universities not listed below, additional transfer information can be found on the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board or on the individual university's webpage, especially for out-of-state universities. Meet with an advisor for more specific transfer information.
Core Curriculum
Students who are transferring to colleges in the state of Texas not listed below can check the Core curriculum requirements for Texas public colleges and universities at the Texas Coordinating Board website.
Field of Study Transferable Courses:
The State of Texas has approved a block of transferable courses for certain fields of study that are guaranteed to transfer to all four year Texas public universities. A Field of Study Curriculum (FOSC) is a set of courses that fulfill lower-division (freshman and sophomore) requirements for a specific major/degree plan. FOSCs are guaranteed to transfer to any public college or university in Texas.

- Communication
- Computer Science
- Criminal Justice
- Educator Preparation: Grades 4-8 Certification
- Educator Preparation: Early Childhood Education
- Engineering
- Engineering Technology
- Mexican-American Studies
- Music
- Nursing
In addition to these Field of Study Curriculum, the Texas Coordinating Board recently approved the Associate of Arts in Teaching (A.A.T.) degree. Like the FOSCs, this associate degree is fully transferable to any public university in Texas.
