Program Level: Pre-Majors/Transfer
Department: Natural Sciences
Institute: Health & Biosciences
College: SAC

What is the Biology: Pre-Nursing program?

This program is designed specifically for health sciences students preparing for entry into a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) program.

What will I learn?

You’ll learn the foundational knowledge you need to successfully enter into a BSN program and become a registered nurse. This program provides the scientific foundation you need to advance to upper-level nursing curriculum.

What can I do with this course of study?

This program will prepare you for acceptance into a BSN program and create a pathway into a career as a registered nurse.

What's special about this program?

SAC offers a one-year “RN to BSN” program for licensed registered nurses with a two-year associate degree. This allows RNs to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing at SAC at a significant savings over four-year institutions.

Because interaction between faculty and students is one of the biggest drivers of student success, this program includes smaller class sizes for more individual attention, faculty and student tutors in the BioSpot learning center, and faculty advisors.
