Embedded Tutoring

As part of the Project BUILD grant, we are leading an initiative to enhance instruction in our high-demand science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) courses through embedded tutors. These subject-specific tutors play a crucial role in assisting San Antonio College's STEM students in grasping complex concepts and mastering challenging skills necessary for their coursework.

As we explore a variety of tutoring models, we have a range of strategies available offering distinct advantages, including collaboration between instructors and tutors, intensive camps, and development of student-led learning communities. Our objective is to identify best practices which can be customized for each course, with the ultimate goal of improving the academic outcomes of all our STEM students. Our commitment lies in implementing effective solutions that cater to the unique needs of our students and foster their overall success.
