Drop-in Based Tutoring

Drop-ins

Drop-in tutoring is available on a first come, first serve basis. Click on the drop-in link during the given time to join the drop-in zoom meeting.

If a tutor doing drop-in tutoring is helping a student in-person you may have to wait for them to be available for drop-ins via Zoom. The tutor will montior their waiting room and message you an approximate wait time.

Appointment Based Tutoring

Appointments

Students can schedule and cancel their own tutoring appointments through Navigate. Students need to log into ACES first and then click on the AlamoNAVIGATE link. Watch the videos in the Navigate and Zoom Tutorials section below for demonstrations.

Note: When scheduling your own appointment through AlamoNAVIGATE make sure to use either the "Tutoring - General" or "Tutoring - Writing" service. The "Tutoring" service is being used by other Alamo Colleges campuses so if you select this service you will see tutoring centers from other campuses instead the SAC tutoring centers.

Tutors working on campus by appointment can conduct the tutoring sessions either in-person or online through Zoom if you cannot come to the lab or are not comfortable coming into the lab for in-person tutoring. When scheduling a tutoring appointment let us know if you want a Zoom appointment or an in-person appointment.

If you are coming to the lab for in-person tutoring, check in with the front desk staff when you arrive and they will direct you to the room where you will meet with your tutor.
