International Poetry Reading and Open Mic

Location: Loftin Student Center (LSC), Fiesta Room
Description: Poets from a variety of countries will share their work, and then will open the mic to anyone else who would like to participate in the reading. Light refreshments will be served.

Comics & Graphic Novels: The Art of Visual Storytelling

Description: Nate Powell, National Book Award-winning cartoonist, discusses his work as an illustrator and graphic novelist, the impact of comics, the power of visual storytelling, and art as social change.
Micro Memoirs of Resistance

Time: 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Location: Moody Learning Center (MLC) 7th Floor
Description: “Coloring outside the lines” often means we defy convention and move beyond the boundaries imposed upon us. Participate in a micro memoir writing workshop to explore a moment you colored outside the lines.

Time: Noon - 1:30 p.m.
Location: Fletcher Administration Building (FAB), Room 113
Description: Join us for refreshments, play in our trivia match with a color theme, and win great prizes.
