What to Expect During a Tutoring Session

• Please bring the assignment directions/prompt, rubric, and relevant readings and notes to your session.
• After introductions, you and your tutor will have a conversation about your main writing concerns and identify a goal for your session.
• The tutor will ask questions and provide guidance as you make decisions about your writing. We encourage students to ask for clarification throughout the session.
• After your session, your tutor will record details in AlamoNAVIGATE and request that you complete a post-session student satisfaction survey.
• Students can request a verification slip, if required by the instructor.
