Community Service

Volunteer Opportunities for NVC

Volunteer Opportunities for NVCAt NVC, we believe that service is an essential part of being a member of a community. NVC sponsors a variety of service projects each semester to meet the needs of the community and our volunteers. We also reach out to community non-profits to share their needs with our students as well. Everyone is welcome to participate!

"We encourage our students to make the most of their college experience by becoming involved on campus and in the greater San Antonio communities. By volunteering, students can foster a spirit of service, empathy, compassion, and civic engagement. In addition, volunteering provides our students with excellent opportunities to explore career options. Students use creativity and initiative in non-profit settings, gain confidence and leadership abilities, and experience diverse economic and cultural environments. These experiences are transferable to most organizational and professional environments and enhance the students' ability to pursue meaningful work upon graduation.

Your volunteer service is important and NVC recognizes outstanding student participants with the President's Volunteer Service Award as well as with NVC Service Certificates."
