Sabrina Macal-Polasek Named Director of Career Services

Sabrina Macal-Polasek is the new Director of Career Services at San Antonio College. She will lead and implement college-wide career services and experiential learning to include existing and new career development programming.
During her employment in higher education, she has served in a variety of areas including admissions, academic affairs, and most recently student affairs. She established the San Antonio College Student Enrichment Center three years ago and held the title of career experience team lead. Prior to this, she served as a coordinator of student success for the SAC Transfer and Career Center and a certified academic advisor under the SAC Business and Public Service Advising Institutes.
As an educator, she has promoted and engaged students in academic and student success strategies from entry to completion to post-graduation success. She develops and creates programs, policies, and systems that prepare prospective and current students for careers. She serves as a liaison between student success staff, faculty, and industry partners to build talent pipelines for employment and workforce development.
She is a proud graduate of South San Antonio High School and earned a bachelor of public administration with a certification in nonprofit management from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She holds a master of arts in administration with a concentration in organizational development from the University of the Incarnate Word. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership from Rowan University.
